# TORIGHI trademark policy

The MIT License in this repository applies to copyright in the TORIGHI source code. It does not grant a license to use product names, word marks, logos, domain names, or other distinctive brand assets.

`TORIGHI`, the TORIGHI word mark, the TORIGHI logo, and distinctive TORIGHI brand assets are names and marks used by RIS Institute. RIS Institute reserves all rights in those names and marks.

Without prior written permission from RIS Institute, you may not:

- name a fork, derivative product, service, company, or domain `TORIGHI` or use a confusingly similar name;
- use the TORIGHI logo or visual identity as the primary branding of a modified or redistributed version;
- imply sponsorship, certification, affiliation, or endorsement by RIS Institute; or
- use the marks in a way that is likely to confuse users about the origin of a product or service.

You may make accurate, non-misleading references to TORIGHI to describe compatibility, origin, or the fact that software is based on TORIGHI, provided that the reference does not imply endorsement and your own branding is more prominent.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that apply under law, including nominative or descriptive fair use. No use of the registered-trademark symbol is authorized unless and until the relevant mark is registered in the applicable jurisdiction.

Questions or permission requests should be directed to RIS Institute through the project's published contact channel.
